Gave it to my parents and they have used it for the past 2 years without issues as well. My modems shit the bed before my Ubiquiti products do. You do have a point that the aliens been around for a bit. Unifi has a much broader product range, both in APs and the wider UniFi system. They have AC Wave 2 models, more outdoor models and usable in-wall APs. Plus the option of a single interface for your whole network, routers, switches and APs.Unifi goes down to 4 in Mesh setups. No Mandatory DHCP setting at the AP level. This is different than DHCP snooping. Meraki provides a full admin change log and this would be nice to see in Unifi. Nothing equivalent to Meraki NAT where the AP acts as a quasi-router and provides seamless roaming.Enable Fast Roaming, because this will change the way end clients will behave in regard to connecting to the APs. Fast Roaming enabled end clients will quickly switch to closer APs. Combine 2 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi Network Names into one.
